GDPR Compliance

What is the GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was introduced to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect the data privacy of all EU citizens' data, and to shape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy. GDPR replaced the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and it came into force on May 25th, 2018. The full text of the GDPR can be found here.

GDPR significantly increased the responsibilities for organizations and businesses in how they collect, use, and protect personal data. At the center of the new law is the requirement for organizations and businesses to be fully transparent about how they are using and protecting personal data, and to be able to demonstrate accountability for their data processing activities.
